AUTOMATED WET LAB
Robotic liquid handling, engineered into our methods
Our sample prep procedures are built with robotic liquid handling in mind. As the number of tests is rapidly increasing, moving to Opentrons systems to optimize and automate nucleic acid extraction, designing out the hands-on variability that makes manual prep slow and inconsistent becomes crucial.
As we extend this across the other testing workflows, more of the bench will run the same way every time, which is exactly what quality control depends on.

AI-ASSISTED SCIENCE
Our science lives on Benchling, and AI works on top of it
We run our science on Benchling, the R&D platform that keeps experiments, samples, and results in one connected system of record.
On top of that data, we are exploring how to put Benchling’s AI to work: surfacing relevant past runs, helping design and analyze experiments, and turning the work into documentation and reports. The more of our science that lives in one place, the more the AI can do with it.
In-house SOFTWARE Development, powered by AI
A client portal we design, build, and evolve with AI
We use AI to design, build, test, and iterate on our client portal at app.saphobio.com. It is the operational backbone of our company, designed to bring the whole lifecycle of a sample into one place so nothing falls through the cracks, with a clear owner at every step.
Building it with AI lets us move quickly, shape the portal around how our clients and our team actually work, and keep rapidly expanding what it covers using real user feedback - both paying customers, and internal users.

DATA Automation from Edge Hardware to Client
From instrument data toward one-click reporting
We are connecting our instruments directly to reporting, so data flows from the machine into a generated report instead of being retyped by hand. Where this is in place, a reviewed report is close to one click away, cutting transcription, reducing error, and shortening the path from raw signal to approved result. We are extending it across more of our instruments and assays.
